Director of Maintenance
Ed Fry
Ed has been fascinated with aviation since he was a small boy building model airplanes in his basement. He grew up surrounded by aviation as his father was a pilot flying fixed wing and rotorcraft as well as several close friends and one of his sons.
Always wanting to be an airline pilot, after graduating college in 1977 the job market just did not cooperate. However, in 2017 his dream was found and he spent 2-years as a line pilot for American Airlines.
Lucky to have flown airplanes from a Piper Cub to a CRJ-900 and 45+ other types, Ed has almost 6,000 hours of flight experience.
Over the years, Ed honed his skills as President and owner of several construction-related businesses.
Bringing with him over 30 years of business ownership, management and mechanical expertise Ed became involved with Lone Mountain in 2012 as a Cirrus pilot relocating airplanes, and later on the ground floor of Lone Mountain Jet Management.
Ed manages the maintenance of several private jets from Citations to Gulfstreams as well as assisting in the hiring of pilots to work for jets managed by LMJM.
Ed and his wife Cathy have three children and recently relocated to Cincinnati to help babysit for a new granddaughter. When he is not doing that, he enjoys snow skiing and playing guitar.
